Life in Rye (chapel, public schools, moving to)

Hi,

We are considering relocating to Rye and would like the straight scoop on the town.....Is it a good place to raise kids? Is it a friendly community? Or is it a more cool snobbish type of place.....We have the option of relocating to Chapel Hill, NC or to Rye...Which would you choose, weather aside Anybody have personal knowledge/experience with both?either?

We have two young children, and I know the public schools in Westchester are hard to beat! Chapel hill has great schools too.....Any thoughts? Thanks!

I don't understand. What do you mean you have the option of moving to Rye? If you have the option of moving to Rye, don't you have the option of moving to dozens of other communities in lower Westchester or lower Fairfiled County, CT?

I mean we WOULD BE moving to Rye.....That is where we would be relocating to.....Rye City....Not other towns...Rye.....That is where we would go.....Do you have any information you care to share about Rye ?
