I'm Japanese, and will be moving to Bedford in July, together with my husband and our kids. I've been wondering if there are Japanese (or non-Japanese) people interested in putting together a regular, somewhat informal Japanese class for kids (probably grade K through 2)?
We've organized something similar here in New York (weekly 2-hour class, 6 kids, with a Japanese teacher), and it's been really fun for the kids. Plus, they're improving their understanding of the Japanese language and culture a lot.
Please let me know if there's someone interested in further exploring this idea.
Considering the huge response my original post generated I thought I follow up with an update:
We decided to have our current Japanese teacher come up to Bedford once a week for a 2-hour lesson (language and piano). Please let me know if you or someone you know would be interested in joining. It'd be fun.
