Howdy Boone Folks.

I've been to Boone and absolutely love it. Goodness what a beautiful place. We stayed near Cheap Joe's Art Supplies which I must say had some of the best views I've ever seen. Anyhow I would like to ask some question if you don't mind.

1. Is there a specific name for the area that Cheap Joe's is located?
2. Our visit to Boone was roughly about six years ago and wondering how it has changed since then?
3. Do you have just about everything you need there is terms of doctors, dentists, grocery, entertainment.../
4. In general, what is the social and political climate in Boone. Are there any noticable extremes? I just want a peaceful existence.
5. Crime wise-what are your opinions or experience with this issue?
6. How often do you have to travel to other larger city for services or supplies?
7. If I had a medical emergency, is the EMS system adequate in your opinion?
8. Are there homes or apartment in nice areas that are still reasonable in prices?

Ok I think those are my question for now thank you in advance for any information you can offer.

Default new to boone too

i moved her about a 1 1/2 years ago and really like it. it has a huge medical facility near the university. i think the crime is very low. the city has everything i need, only exception is no wholesale club. because of the university i thiink you have a nice well rounded culture with lots of art stuff going on, smaller bands coming through etc... i think housing varies and would recommend setting up something temporary until you learn the area. there are so many great areas besides near cheap joes i wouldn't lock myself in right away.
