Summer vacationing in asheville (Waynesville: to rent, house, live in)

hi all,I live in Florida full-time but am thinking about a place to go in the summer months
and have heard asheville is quite nice.

Would just like others opinions of the area ... I would be traveling with my sister
and our family. We would like to rent a house but not sure where in asheville to look.
Love the mountains and views..

Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I could see a few days in Asheville and the area - but not much more than that.

You might want to consider renting a house in nearby Waynesville (25 miles). It is located right next to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway, the recreational activities and places to see are numerous. Asheville is a fine place to visit, but keep in mind it is an urban area. Check out the Biltmore Estate while you're there.
