Asheville's hotel boom continues with a proposal for a five-story either 55 or 68 feet, 104-room hotel near Merrimon Avenue and Interstate 240 will be named Towne Place Suites next to 51 Grill restaurant.

Greensboro-based CN Hotels owns the property, which would be developed by a Greensboro-based group listed as Asheville Property.
CN Hotels Inc., of Greensboro, is listed as the owner. That company manages several brands of hotels, such as Marriott and Hilton, in states including North Carolina and South Carolina, according to its website.

The city's zoning commission is scheduled to review the project Jan. 7.
