I'm going to Boone/Banner Elk this week with my boyfriend and was wondering if there are any unique local spots to visit such as museums, breweries, outdoor activities, concerts, shops etc.
We have a small list of places to see based on google search but thought maybe there are some other things only known to locals.

Thanks

There's a lot to do. I was just up there this weekend. There's a new treetop adventure place I hadn't heard of before that just opened up: https://www.google.com/search?client...UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

I always recommend that folks go to the old original Mast General Store in Valle Crucis. There's one in Boone, too, but it's worth it to make the extra trip to the one in Valle Crucis.
