Chris that bridge goes over the creek to the original estate property and house - we bought the barrier property. The creek runs the whole south side of our property and our lot line goes to the middle of it. We love watching the trout fry swimming and have seen muskrat hanging around, too.
Fry swiming? Does that mean that they cook themselves, fly out of the creek, and plop into your dinner dish?

I tried to get a picture of the trout fry in here but it's not working the 'legal way' so this will have to do. You're gonna need a lot of nets and some itty bitty pans!

Apology if I sounded like I was giving car lectures; I love cars/m'cycles and just slid into my western NC car tips and opins mode.
GL, mD

A couple years ago we rolled in from one our trips seeing our Kids in NJ in late October, and as we had taken the VetteVert for something different, I left it in the driveway overnight after unpacking. Next morning, Surprise! Oct snow...

David, it didn't sound like a lecture at all. Nice car! People always give me crap about having a Z in the mountains. My answer to them is simple: You will never have more fun on a mountain road than in a sports car. Sure, you can't drive it for a couple of months during the winter but so what!

I would love to have a little creek like that. We almost went for a property in black mountain because it had a nice little river through it. How is the house coming along?

We had a fun time during the snow-in. We tried to get out and about a little bit:

Side note: Does anyone know where you can buy fresh pasta in the Asheville area (or anywhere around it)?

You can get fresh pasta at the Charlotte St farmers market.

You are quite we one, Evensen! There are a number of other terrific local venders at that market. One of my favorites is Heide for sushi grade salmon.
