Feb. 4, 2012 posted in Williston Herald comments section:"Williston leaders will do some heavy pushing this year to get the state government to change the formula for how much funding local governments receive from the state's oil revenues.
That formula is extremely out of date and doesn't reflect the needs of towns in the oil patch, Williston Mayor Ward Koeser and other leaders have been saying in recent weeks".
"At a recent City Commission meeting, Koeser said getting legislators to understand the reasons will be a high priority for the city in 2012.
To make its case, the city has released a list of impact indicators for making the case for a formula change."

I totally support the local leaders in seeking more revenue, afterall...They live w/ the effects of this boom daily.
