And what is the price per month?
Noone ever said the city was building RV parks.
Its not a city endeavor. It's not government supplied housing.
There are a few parks being built and they all have different prices.
"And if this boom goes bust? You sure don't want to have relocated your family to an area, dependent upon your job that no longer exists..."
Yes, so when does a person draw the line? People have been saying this boom is going to go bust someday...but what is someday? It has been going on now for 5 years, and they expect it to go on for another 20 years or more. People can wonder and ponder all they want, but a job is a job, especially in todays job market. Williston, and North Dakota in general..is one of the few places to be. People don't HAVE to re-locate to Williston...but it certainly doesn't help a family to not relocate to where the spouse works and has a job. People pack up and move all the time from city to city, from state to state and move with the job in order to keep the family together. Any job can go away tomorrow...look at the millions of teachers, real estate agents, casino workers, retail workers, etc... etc... across this great country who are out of work because of a terrible economy. Many of those people are in dire straights...that is why so many people are moving to the oil fields of North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Texas. Oil field related jobs are NO MORE at risk than any other job today.
And yet here in states on the High Plains, for example, unemployment isn't much higher than it's ever been, so that theory doesn't really work for a lot of people.

I realize you believe this, but statistics don't support you.
SURPRISE, the ban is not taking place in williston, it's actually taking place in all of williams county.
Land lords got a nasty gram this morning *in trenton* which is part of williams county, all rvs must be gone by sep 1st or the penalty will be $1000 a day. The only RVS allowed on the property must belong to the owners of the property and NO ONE can be living in the rv.
So how many of us does that put in a horrible spot right now?

So how many of us does that put in a horrible spot right now? I've got a week and a half to find a spot on one of the few and very filled "legit" RV parks, which charge out the ass if you do find a spot. My budget goes to hell, I'm stressed out, over tired, have a fifth wheel with no means to move it since I didn't plan on moving off this lot for quite some time. The only way out is out and move over to the next country with a wonderful 40-50 minute commute to work, assuming I can find a reasonable spot.
I've got a spot about 1k feet off the road, you can barely see any RVs are there if you're driving by, it's on private land setup for rvs, very quiet, very reasonable rent and they are coming down like a 10 ton hammer on the land lords for 4 rvs.
City council is kicking us out to rob us.
Hmm, I don't know about this one...anybody else hear anything on this?
I can't believe they would do that in the county, there is an unbelievable amount of people living in rv's in the county. So are they trying to get people to rent from the overly, upsurd, and already full rv parks or make sure they rent from the new one being built?
Sorry this is happening, seems like things are taking some kind of turn around here.

I'm guessing they are cracking down on unlicensed rv parks. State says you have to have a license for more than 2. McKenzie County is working on it as well. If the owner obtains a license and operates it according to state regulations they can stay. Doesn't seem fair at first but when you see what some have thrown up and called rv parks it's necessary. Too close together, inadequate water and sewer systems, etc. Altogether unsafe. There's one down the road from me that'll curl your hair.

Must be Trenton doing this on it's own. Williams county is not as far as I know. Nothing has been in the Williston paper and i'm sure that would be out by now. And the City of Williston fine is $500 per day....not $1000.
