I currently moved here from MI after getting laid of of my job after 10 yrs. I landed a Wireline job for a fairly big company out here. The job is 20/10. I'm 37 and in pretty decent shape. My question is, are wireline jobs very physical? I just want to know what I can expect. I'm currently taking all my training courses so I haven't had a chance to ask too many questions as of yet. As of right now, the crews are working 16 hr days, which I know will take some time to get used to. And yes I know I should've did a bit more research before moving out here but I had to make a split second decision. Thanks for any and all advice and replies in advance!

I do Wireline, I'm still new about two months in but its probably the easiest job in the oilfield and still very well paid considering the actual amount of work we do. Dont get me wrong their will be times you lift heavy tool strings and the drive can be your worst enemy sometimes, after being on location for 16hrs awake then another 2 hour drive back keeping you eyelids open for 30hrs gets a lil challenging at times. Congrats tho welcome to Wireline!
