One time I had a weekend job that had been cut from 12 hours a week to 4. Obviously the new manager just didn't like me for whatever reason. So I went and found a new job that would give me 16 hours a week. No brainer. I gave her one week notice and she had a fit about how would she fill that 4 hours the next week????

Really? Please.

Depending on how close to each other the two jobs are, then what she was expecting was that the present employers would be just fine with her dumping it on them with no notice that she would now work only half a shift instead of a full shift, i.e. 7-11 instead of 3-11?

She did say, " ... it really doesn't bother me. The turnover rate is so high, I doubt they even care. I'll be quitting altogether soon anyway." I'm guessing that she won't have the option of quitting when it suits her but that the decision is going to be made for her.
