I'm getting sick of them telling me "god this and god that". I'm 2 months behind on my rent and these fools are telling me to "let the lord handle it".
I'm not trying to be disrespectful but that has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
I even told one family member that I was going to relocate and try to find work elsewhere and they said----"don't do it, god told me he has something for you there".
One thing that they cannot tell me is WHEN will god provide me with a job. They always say "God will provide it to you when he's ready and just when you need it."------WTF!!!!
I know what you mean. My Mom keeps telling me to practice positive thinking, as in "I want this job, I'll get this job", and I'll get a job...
If it was only that easy...
Or come back at them and tell them, "god wanted you to do such and such, he told you in a dream". They will have to believe you then, right?
Do what is in your best interest. Do what is logically/rationally right for you. I'm sure they really want to help, it's just that they've been raised to believe that it is best to throw all your problems at a 'god-like' figure and he will solve it all for you. Simple as pie. They have good intentions, they just don't know what else to tell you.

I don't believe in magic. If I have a problem I need to figure out away to solve it, not wait for some magical god in the sky to make it all better. It doesn't work that way.
Everyone seems to know what God and Jesus want's. These same folks have no idea how to solve their own problems but they've got all of the answers for everyone elses life.

Yes, friend. I know the type. Just block out the unnecessary concern and focus on what you need to focus on. Do what you NEED to do. Use logic and reasoning to figure out your problems. Do no sit back and wait for a god to handle them for you. It does not work that way.
