Default No.

Unless there is smoke..They make a verbal, live announcement if it is required to leave.

It is based on company policy. Policy at my job is, if the alarm sounds you leave. If it was an error they have ways to let us know ASAP.

Personally I ignore the alarm and just sit at my desk and create countless city-data threads.

In all my years of working, in the various places I have worked, not one time ever has the fire alarm gone off. Not since I left high school have I heard a fire alarm.

Is there a category in the Guinness Book of World Records for, "Most Number of Threads Started By One Poster On Any One Internet Forum In One Month"? And, if there is, does quality count as well as quantity?

We're a 3 story building with about 600 people and we all go out, in fact there are "monitors" on each floor that check to make sure we left. Last time it was a neighboring business summer BBQ at lunch setting off the alarm.

Once I walked into a bank after a fire drill and no one else was back in there yet. I ran out of there in a hurry!

Fascinating! Did you return later to complete your business or did you wait until the next day?
