Is it a matter of figuring it out? Or are there other reasons, like politics involved? I think an MBA student could "figure it out" but 69 PhDs and 69 MBAs from Harvard couldn't process the politics.

Actually the cliff or even a long term answer to the deficit problem will have consequecnes even employment. I some ways its like a perosn who has house and other expenses who starts chrging on a credit card with interest;then starts payingminmum payents;ups the limit some how and it just keeps frowing until like Greece. That si whe no one wants to give you anymore credit and you can pay your bills without it that are basic necessities.
