I don't believe it. The cashiers do not have to have a college degree. I also don't know if payscroll.com is a legitimate employment agency. Many websites are spurious. If one wishes to apply for a job at McDonalds, do so at Careers :: McDonalds.com One place where I checked is a job for "crew" is minimum wage with no mention of a degree.
Contract type : Full Time Positions available : 1 Experience required : 1- 2 Years Studies level required : Bachelor Degree Location : Winchendon Weekly working duration : Full Time
Wow, that's pretty unreal. Probably actually illegal. If a minority applies to that position and doesn't get it they could definitely bring a law suit against them and would almost definitely win because McDonald's would have to provide evidence that having a bachelor's degree is a necessity to perform the job and that equal #s of minorities are qualified given the required job qualifications, both of which they would fail on.

Illegal job posting because of too many requirements? Now that is new. I would like to see how that would hold up in court.
Yes it is. My college degree (and my gra dschool degree) have allowed me to make a substantial amount of money since graduation.
I agree with both points and here's why. Students for many years were told get a college degree and you will find a job. It was this way for me in the 90's. Then things changed several years ago. A lot of people couldn't get jobs listened to good marketing pitches from Universities and bought into the hype that if I have a degree I will get a job which we know isn't always the case.
Then there are people like Tober and myself that have good skills and track record and that degree is the extra qualifier that lands us the position. You have a master I don't so with equal qualifications you will probably beat me.
People need to keep in mind, yes absolutely you don't need a degree to make Big Macs, it is nothing more than a filtering mechanism to whittle down the pool of candidates from 1000 to 100 and then filter again down to 20.
Most of the applicant probably have one anyhow. Colleges will no doubt use this story to prove a degree is not worthless.
