Zappo's is a good service with a large following. That is good that a company at least replied to all the applications sent to them. That is rare now days. You are LUCKY to hear, sorry but aren't going forward with you application unless you made it far into the process.

I think people on here don't understand the Zappos Insider program. It's their internal "social network." You don't write any status updates and you don't have to be on FB or twitter to use it. It is simply a more fancy version of Taleo where you have your profile, resume, and skills. Also, they didn't completely remove job listings as they can be found at Search Open Positions | about.zappos.com.
