Did a search on here, didn't see anything. Has anyone ever used two addresses on a cover letter when applying for a job in a different state?
If you know the definite date (roughly two months from now) when you will be in your new town and you have an address where you will be staying (on a month to month lease), should you put both your current address and your future address and mention it in the beginning of the cover letter?
Does seeing a firm relocation date help assure potential employers that you are committed to moving to their area?
Do a google search and you will discover many articles advising people to leave off the address completely on your resume and cover letter. Include your email address and phone number, but no physical address.
It's hard enough to get a job, but not being local makes it more difficult, unless you are a graduating student going back home. If that's the case, either leave it off or use the home address if that's the location you're targeting in your job search.
