Job Two is full-time, 8:30-5:00, 5 days a week. You go to an office. Dress is
business casual. You have full benefits. You bring in a ''decent bi-weekly
salary''. You get 2 weeks off a year and 12 holidays. Pay is 2.5 times that of
the first job. You spend your days interacting with others and helping them
solve their problems. You are part of a ''team'' and have a ''team leader''.
Well, I already have job #2, except there's no such thing as 8:30 to 5:00 for elite accounting jobs.
Working gives me the money to do the things that I do want to do in my spare time.

You have to work hard when you are young and learn as much as you can do! You can take an easy job after 45. Yes, it is important to enjoy your life but also make sure that you will have enough savings when you retire so you will survive
If offered two job options, which would you choose and why?
Job One is part-time, doing something you love, and offers no benefits and just enough pay to cover your bills. You start at noon and finish up around 6pm. You have Saturdays and Sundays off. You work independently as a self-employed and wear jeans and shorts on the job. Stresses would be minimal. Only in doing the small tasks assigned. No office politics, pressures, deadlines, emotional stresses. Your job is your ''work out'' as it is mildly physical and partially outdoors. You are your own boss 24/7.

Just 2 job examples. Question is, which would you choose, the first or the second, the free time or the money? Is your age a factor in your choice? Have you been faced with this choice before?
#2 sounds like a regular job to me! So to make 2.5 times the salary of #1 would be a no-brainer. Though I'd assume that more vacation would be forthcoming with time on the job.
I chose many things in younger years because it was expected of me, college and jobs included. I wish I hadn't.
I'd probably take 1 without knowing other details, though I'd rather either be in charge of my own time, or go to work early and get out earlier. Starting something mid-day drives me nuts
I'd take job 2 any day of the week. And it has nothing to do with time vs. money. It's simply a better value to me.
Personally - I value time over money. But that doesn't mean I'm going to throw money away.
