The main reason I want to get the MBA is to be able to move laterally into other business positions I might not otherwise be qualified for. For example, if I ever wanted to move into management, human resources, marketing, product management, operations, etc INSTEAD of accounting/finance, I feel the MBA will help me with that transition.

I do have about 5 years of strong work experience, so it's not like I'm getting the degree with no work experience.

Anyway, that's my plan for the MBA at least, who knows if it will live up to that expectation.

Work your accounting job as a main stable job and do contract sound work on the side for indie game developers.
