turned down a Great job offer.. It was because my moms health took a nose dive. Its been a month and she's doing better. I really could have taken the job. The recruiter told me that she would love to see my application again when I'm ready. Should I even contact them? Thank you. I really wanted the job
Would 2 months after a job offer be too long to contact them for other opportunities? Also, would I most likely have to have my references fill out those surveys again?
I don't think you have anything to lose by letting them know that your circumstances have changed and that you are excited about job opportunities with the company. The worst that can happen is that they tell you there are not any positions that match your skill set.
Yes, contact the recruiter, let them know your personal situation has changed and see what they have. There may be several openings at that company, or one coming up due to retirements, etc.

It seems highly unlikely that they have not already filled it by now, but you have nothing to lose. Even when I have been unhappy with the applicants and re-posted a job, I have always filled it within a month of that time. They may have another opening soon, however, and your reason for passing the first time is one that should be considered legitimate, if they in fact remember you.

Reapply to the job, I recently turned down a job with Kraft paying over 53K with relocation, and a sign on bonus. They were understanding and said I can always reapply and they would still hire me to work for the company. A month later I found a new job paying over 69K a year.
