Could I work from home with a certificate in medical billing and coding? Or Do I need a degree in medical billing and coding? Also, How long would I cave to work as a medical biller and coder in order to work from home? Lastly, do you think this is a good school to go to for a certification?

Don't know anything about medical billing from home, but with automation I wouldn't think there would be many positions.

Getting a job as a Coder (assigning specific codes to medical procedures and services) is almost impossible without experience. This applies to working from within an office or at home. The only program that I would consider is one that had a strong internship with significant hands on experience coding.

We have a daughter-in-law who does just that. She has two clients who keep her plenty busy.

You might want to find out first how outsourcing has affected this career field. Medical billing and coding can be done in India. I worked for a medical billing & coding business that sent all their work overseas, and laid everyone off in the USA. I don't think it's a great choice, personally.
