I work as full time office administrator for an HVAC company. I was trained by my boss. One of my jobs is taking care of company mail. I was told to put mail into assigned mail boxes. The only thing I hand deliver is mail that is addressed to finance department. Well a member of management come by and flipped out on me that he has not checked his mail and apparently something very important was in his box. I said "did you want me to hand deliver it?" He said "yeah of course, I never check that box. How long has this been in here?!!" Um how is it my fault that he doesnt check his mailbox?
I don't hand deliver mail to anyone else. I'm sorry I know it's not a big deal but I don't think it's fair of him to be nasty to me either..
He screwed up but doesn't want to take responsibility for reading his mail in a timely manner. Ask how he wants you to handle his mail and that is what you will do from now on.
He's just being an irresponsible little baby and blowing up on you about it. Just let it roll off your shoulders and I suppose hand-deliver his mail from now on. Maybe ask if he needs to be spoon fed and get his ***** wiped for him too.

It doesn't matter who I am - treating people poorly is not acceptable.
How it should be and how it is are two different things. You have seen how it is, time to make your decision on how you move forward. You can not force him to be nice to you, short of derogatory names you are SOL. Deal with it or quit, simple choice.
