I have been given a task of arranging a team lunch with some big dogs at my office. My team has all new people and I was looking for ideas other than the usual meet and greet and introductions. Please let me know any game ideas, interactive fun ideas you may have. I don't want to look like an idiot infront of them. I would like everyone to have fun and laugh at the end of this. Please please help me. We are about 27 in our team

I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but here a popular idea is bringing in a food truck and having an outdoor meal. of course, that only works in July and August unless you set up a big tent. Look for interactive or unusual entertainment, such as caricature artist, living statues, chainsaw sculpture, dueling pianos.

Most important, avoid hiring strippers or anything close to it, and also avoid clowns.

We did an Improv class as a team building exercise. It was actually pretty fun.

Another thing to do is volunteer somewhere at a local non-profit. My company organizes monthly sessions cooking lunch for the homeless. Or doing stuff at the food bank. We had a VIP event to build bikes for kids for a non-profit. My team volunteered at a center for blind adults....I punched Braille onto business cards and other people on the team went to the farmers market.

Everyone feels good because they helped the community and you end up doing something new. I am sure there are plenty of organizations in your area that could use 27 people for half a day for something.
