The fact that you look down on him, call him a "sap" and state that you don't respect "good little worker bees" who "work for peanuts" says a lot about YOU. Why do you you have to trash other people, especially when it does not affect your life one iota?
Have you considered paying him out of your pocket? If you believe he deserves more, there's no reason you can't give some to him.
Not how it works unless OP is in the money stream from the FED which is where these mega companies and banks are. The money is almost meaningless to mega corps and banks because they just print it. Where as the OP cant do that ...Mod cut.
Major car dealers are likely in the cabal and in the money supply chain from the FED. So if they paid 8, 10, 12 it makes no difference because its just printed they just like the control.
If this is a mom and pop operation then its a different story.

Every job pays what the job is worth. Some guy washing cars in the back of a car dealer is really only worth $8 per hour. That's what the job pays because that's what the job is worth. If the guy in the OP's example asked for a raise, he probably wouldn't get one. And if the guy quit, then the next day some other guy would be hired to wash the cars for the same $8 per hour...
No, the job market is not like the stock market, where the price of a share of Apple at a given moment is the same everywhere. Perhaps the closest analogy is the used car market, where two customers can pay widely different prices because one has better negotiating skills.
What do you guys think about the saps who are out there working themselves to death for practically slave wages. For example, I work at a car dealership and there is one detailer who practically lives there (works 8 to 8 M-F) does whatever he is told and has been with the company for over 10 years, yet still makes $8 an hour and has never gotten a raise. If I didn't get a raise within 2 years at most I would've been out of there. I don't respect someone who is just a good little worker bee that does what he's told and works for peanuts. Workers need to stand up for themselves.
Also how do you feel about slave driver companies that pay such low wages and expect so much out of their employees. How can they expect people to work themselves to death for $8 an hour while they sit back and rake in the fruits of their labor?
You should talk to the detailers. Convince them to go to HR and ask for more money. That way after they get replaced, you can find them on a job where they now spread mulch for a living. Tell them to ask for a raise at their new job!

and does your employer know you are bashing the company that pays your salary and using their resources during business hours or are you playing on your personal phone and not doing the work you get paid to do?
Seriously? About half the people who post on this employment board are using company time and bashing the company they work for. The OP would not be any different (if he is posting on company time, that is).

its common knowlage that there were a lot of bailed out companies and companies that little to no taxes yet enjoy the US markets but don't have to give anything back to the citizenry.
