If the illegals all got deported there would be plenty of jobs for everyone.

Yay, tons of produce-picking and housecleaning jobs. Just what Americans are looking for, right?

Some areas/cities may have a different market than others.

Unfortunately for a teen, where you live has a great impact on how easy it is to find work.

Which deported worker job would you take?

To help out with your decision, fast food wouldn't be an option.

May as well force their hand. Beats tax payers having to subsidize their programs.

Throughout history, businesses don't keep jobs around "out of the kindness of their hearts". If they can find more efficient ways to do things, then they will. Nobody should be buying into their "scare tactics" that they'll automate if MW goes up too high. It's what they do anyways. How many jobs have been lost in the past?...
--the majority of the population used to do farming. Now, with tech and mechanization, 5% of the population produces food for the majority of us (heck, some of the teenagers that would've been on the farms are now working FF )
--phone switch operators used to route phone calls. In due time, the ones for domestic calls got replaced with automated switchboards, followed by domestic calls
--laundry machines have close down many cleaners
--clothing used to cost a fortune. Now, it's been reduced to very affordable costs, at the cost of some very cushy jobs

--the internet has killed off some jobs and businesses

I am fine with that, as reduced tax revenue from jobs would put pressure on gov't to not increase, but rather decrease, the social safety net. Junior, unskilled, and now out of the workforce since he can't compete, could live with ma until she dies, using her funds.

No problem with that.

Yes, b/c the American population will go down quietly without a fight. No, this'll be political suicide.
