So I filled out the application today and was told I'll be contacted in October to let me know whether or not I get in. Since this is the first apprenticeship I have applied to I'm curious as to how this process goes? What are the chances I'll be called and is it super competitive/difficult to get into? Any helpful feedback will be greatly appreciated!!

Don't hold your breath. It is very competitive.

Move on and if it comes in, great, but don't hold up any plans of finding another job waiting for it to happen. You an always quit and take the apprenticeship if it happens.
