Yup, me too (as I just said above)! Annoying thing is that every time they publish our salaries, a few people come in all angry about how "overpaid" we are - even though we're really not, considering the educational requirements for my position. Or they look at the highest earners, like our County Librarian, and get all worked up without realizing that's the HEAD of the ENTIRE system. So yeah, she should be making $200K+, when her job entails overseeing 8 libraries and hundreds of employees. If she was the CEO of an even smaller private corporation, nobody would bat an eyelash. But somehow because we're public employees, folks think we should be working for less than we're worth? Mkay.

They probably think all she does is put books on shelves.

I don't particularly care if people know what I make. I generally offer the intel unsolicited, though.

I make more than some and less than others...
