Uh, no...this is pretty common.

I wouldn't take it personally, OP, but if you can't manage the accompanying anxiety, either tap into some help or find a less-stressful position.

I have decided to hand my notice in as my employer is not interested in resolving the issues. Plus my team are on medication to cope with the stress so it's time to leave. I don't want to tell them I am leaving due to work related stress so if they ask what do I say?

You don't have to tell them anything. Say you want to pursue other opportunities.

I will need to return my work pass and car parking pass when I leave. I really don't want to go back to the building so is it worth doing recorded delivery by post?

Everybody needs to have a job and work to live. But the job is too much and can kill you, it's not worth it. Try to find something else.

I know it't easier said than done. I don't want to say something negative. But honestly, sometimes, I observe the society and see that there are homeless and disable people who still can live and have supports from some organizations, and there people who work so hard and can hardly make ends meet and they are so stressed out and sick and tired and have no supports.

Take care of yourself. Don't work to death at the desk like Ms. Ida Blankenship in the Mad Men.
