What kind of work do you do? As others have said, no - this is NOT typical behavior. So when you use the general "you," it's really just YOU. Not the majority of us or our workplaces.
I agree with the person who said "this sounds like a blue-collar thing," and a dude thing at that. I'm a librarian in a majority-female (getting a little more 50/50 these days) workplace, and this sort of behavior wouldn't be tolerated even once. Let alone regularly. If they laugh at themselves, like I did when I literally fell onto a co-worker's lap one time, then maybe it's okay to laugh. But only once you make sure they aren't actually injured.
