outside sales? commission only? little to no guidance from "senior management"? a churn house where you'll get canned after 4 weeks because you didn't meet insane quotas?

Yep, I worked in call centers that required little to no sales experience. And boy, one lesson learned, if you don't have the experience to sale sale sale and take no for an answer:

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outside sales is usually a joke. You are thrown to the wolves with little to no training. Your only prospects are walking streets and knocking on doors or making cold calls.

No skin off the back of the employer. If the sales person makes a sale...great for him and he gives back a commission. If the sales person sells nothing, no skin off the back of the employer.

In my area Im seeing dozens and dozens of outside sales jobs for roofers due to storm damage. The roofing company is basicly paying some one to knock on doors of homes with roof damage. Competition is fierce.

I would not trust the OP here. If she had the usual 1 post and 10 REPs like all the spammers do she would have been booted already. What she is selling is medical devices. I did some research on her. How many of those do you think you can sell?
