A nod should be given to Albany in Western Australia.

It's 410km south of Perth and it's a (smaller) city on the southern edge of western Australia. I would feel more isolated here than in Perth.

What about all the towns and small cities in Tasmania?(Including Hobart)

well it's on an island so I'm not sure if it counts?

Hawaii is not a small island and it's part of the US, does it count too? Unless you are referring to Australasia? Well what about Madagascar or Greenland?
