Indeed. I think that's to be expected given that Canada is a single country whereas Europe is a continent with multiple states that are off differing economic footings, with some being quite poor or very poor until recently (Czech Republic, Estonia), and others still very deprived (Bulgaria, Moldova). I also agree that GDP per capita is not a good measurement of individual or family wealth at all.
The UK is probably more extreme in this regard than most. Only three regions of the UK have a GDP per capita above the UK average - London, South East and East - both of which border London.
My original comment was intended to be flippant though.
Well, it is true that Quebec is not without its eccentricities...
Quebec all the way, for a host of reasons (the language not being one though, I like to learn a new language).
One reason : never met a Quebecker I didn't get along with. On the other hand, I never met a Swede I could negin to have a basic human relationship. And weather, countryside, location of Quebec appeal to me much much more!
Quebec because of the French language, proximity to the U.S., cheaper things, less Islamic fundamentalist immigrants, amazing cities and beautiful. It's Canada!
I have been to Sweden and it does have beautiful scenery, but I would say that on this criteria the two places are relatively equal.
Note that one of your links is actually from Norway, and two others show buildings in cities, which do show "visual appeal" I guess but they are not really "scenery".
