In the continental United States I can count between 10 to 13 of those large coastal cities, depending whether Houston, Baltimore and New Orleans can be considered coastal cities or not:
Yes, Brazil's biggest cities are all on the coast, except Belo H., Brasilia. Manaus is not on a coast, but it's still a deepwater port.
In the case of Brazil, I think Porto Alegre, Curitiba and Belem are not exactly coastal cities. Porto Alegre and Belem have harbours that connect to the ocean, but those are fresh water harbours. Curitiba is close to the coast, but not in the coast.
Which countries in the world have more coastal large cities?
By "large cities" I mean cities with more than 1 million people in the metropolitan area.
And by "coastal", I mean cities with salt water shores inside the urban area.
