Manufacturing? Once again, no chance at all. They are big with manufacturing like now because their people are worked like slaves and paid peanuts. International corporations come in and take advantage of that, nothing more. They have not surpassed american manufacturing, on top of that.. the quality that comes from China is nearly always low quality. There's a reason China is hitting hard times..
I agree their military still couldn't match the US. Heck if the rest of the world ganged up against the USA they'd still get licked. As for manufacturing, they blow the US away. Most of the stuff in my house was 'made in China.' How much of it was made in the USA? Hardly anything.

Don't confuse amount of spending with power. US can't even possibly get a foothold in Russia (a force with an almost infinite number of tanks, artillery, AA, and heavy, but highly mobile, infantry is unbreakable), whose military spending is simply incomparable. And if the world defeats US Navy... US Army is such a joke...

America still produces a lot, even if you don't see most of it.

I don't care what anyone outside this thread has to think about it. The people that do care left a comment here, including you. You cared enough to make a comment, so your priorities are in line, you wont be able to deny caring about the thread any longer.

Thanks for caring guy.

Absolutely.

No country in the world has the notoriety, power, influence, GDP, and desirability that the US has. Before you people go on a limb and make up some fake jibberish meaning for what I just said, I'm not saying the US is the only great country in the world there are several others like Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Brazil just to name a few but the US is still the greatest of them all.

Give it a rest youngster, in a globalized world, cooperation is the key, not competition. An us vs them mentality is backward, just ask GW Bush who has to live his remaining days out queitly, banished even by his own incompetent party.

Oddly enough, the patriotic and all-American user "ScantiX" wouldn't even be considered "American" in places like TN, AL, KY, SC, MS, FL, MN, OH, IA, NE, WY, UT as an ethnic Chinese etc.

I'm 34, that's far from young.

I completely disagree. Competition is a beautiful thing, what do you suggest? Sitting in a bonfire circle singing kumbaya and hugging and kissing each other like there's no tomorrow? LOL

No. We compete in this competitive world. We compete from day #1, we compete with one another for our highschool ranks, our college admissions, our job applications, our sports, our economies, our power, our influence. Sure we help each other out, that's great but competition drives the world and the US and China are the two most competitive countries in the world. They're competing to be #1, we're competing to stay #1.

This is very common. In Catalonia, the most extreme nationalists in Catalonia are those born of immigrant parents, mostly from other parts of Spain. It is their way of feeling integrated.

ScantiX's attitude reminds me of that.

Liberia in terms of widest use of imperial measures, China in terms of state-sanctioned murder, Armenia in terms of availability/use of contraception, Sudan in terms of housing their poor and underpriveledged.

US wins the world for number of people beleiving in creationism, though! Congratulations!
