Is it true that Americans can be identified in other countries simply by the way they walk? I was speaking to a colleague who had traveled to Scotland and ordered food in a restaurant. When he went to pick it up the cashier already knew who that he was the one that called. He asked her how she knew and she said "you spoke with an American accent on the phone, and you walk like an American."
I wonder if it is all Americans that walk that way? Or just ones that are more confident in themselves and their looks? I am very interested in the psychology behind this. There has to be lots of confident people in other countries for example.
Id say a much more confident walk too... with a laid back ease.. I like it...you can tell a lot about people by their walk...walks fascinate me.... and its easy to identify characters by the way people walk, poorer people seem to slouch.. as do some devious types who walk with their heads down a lot... a walk is a big giveaway I think..
