For me I will say Africa, particularly the tribes of the pygmies and the Khoisan bushmen. I'm fascinated by them, but their culture seems very different (of course more similarities and differences) e.g. their click language.
I'm familiar with Asia and there's a lot of Asian culture here so I don't find it all that exotic, but within Asia I'd say India is pretty exotic and the Middle East. China, in some aspects, but moreso the countries I know less about like Central Asia, Mongolia.etc. Cambodia still seems a bit exotic.
In South America, it's more native cultures which seem exotic. I will say it seems the most far away region from Australia.
Papua New Guinea is very close to us but it feels a world away. It is probably along with parts of Africa the most exotic place in the world with some people still living a stone-age lifestyle.
Parts of Eastern Europe like Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary that are tradition too.
For me, India then some other parts of central Asia like Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan etc. South central Africa like Botswana. A good chunk of Eastern Europe such as the "Ruthenian" area.
For me South Asia. Places like Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.
Agreed. Also the Amazon area and the Andes... would love to visit one day, though not sure I could take the bugs and other creatures in the Amazon.... perhaps a bit too exotic
Parts of Asia, Africa and South America seem the most foreign.
Most exotic? Parts of the Caribbean, South Pacific etc.
