There is another theory about oil and where it comes from,,of course this theory has been conveniently debunked but when it comes to monies involved i'd not totally abandon the possibility some one might be lying to us.. Scientists Prove Abiotic Oil Is Real!
You see, even though history repeats itself and we have plenty of evidence to prevent certain things. It's sad to know that so many things that are foreseeable, will be ignored.

Yeah, I've also heard about that, and apparently 'oil-like' complex hydrocarbons have even been found way below the earth's mantle in areas far older than life on earth, suggesting it's just some natural ongoing process. Trouble is, even if true, it's still gonna be very expensive (kinda like extracting oil from shale)!
We all know that oil is going to run out eventually. But shouldn't we find another source of energy BEFORE that happens! It would be pathetic to have a war over oil!
Take a look at Germany. They have incentives for people to use renewables and to rent out farmland to companies building renewable energy collection facilities, with the result that quite a bit of energy in Germany now comes from renewable sources. So it IS doable.
Now look at the other side of the equation. A) Oil companies, especially in the US, have HUGE lobbying power, and so tend to control gov't decisions. B) Nations become dependent on their oil revenues, and so tend to have an interest in staying invested in oil. ( Norway, Russia, Ecuador, where oil revenues drive economic development and social services.)
