Both would be smouldering, radioactive ruins. It would end as a draw.

Canada will never join the UK in a war against the US, and the combined forces of the EU still wont be a match against the military power of the US
Preach!

You mean other than every time "The Star-Spangled Banner" gets sung or played?

Nuking would not only affect the warring countries, but the global climate as a whole. Ash would block the sun's rays if enough got into the atmosphere. Crop production would effect many countries due to this effect. Nukes are just not an economically acute decision.

Though you know the French are just going to back out or change sides once the war starts up...

And the Spanish will want too much in return to join the fight and the Italians will lose a few battles and go home. The Germans can fight, but they might go a different direction(watch out Poland).

You do know the whole premise of his thread is ridiculous, right? Lighten up, we're just having some fun with a ridiculous hypothetical situation. (We all know the UK is our ***** and will never dare lift a finger agiainst until we start taxing them without representation. )

All I know is that if the price of tea goes up...we're blaming the Brits again and going to war.

First target... The British Virgin Islands. It's time to unite the long divided Virgin Islanders and take those beautiful beaches and coves for Uncle Sam. Next up, the Caymans and Turks and Caicos.

Good point! Also keeping the USS Constitution and the heavily rebuilt USS Niagara as museum ships. Still I think that many Americans do not know what war the Star-Spangled Banner is from. And its probably good thing given the state of the American educational system that its called the War of 1812!

Anyway IMO the War of 1812 is greatly overshadowed in America by the American Revolution, the Civil War and WW2.
