Is it really worth visiting. I'll be in Rovinj, ****, Zadar, Split, Trogir, Plitvice Lakes, and Dubruvnik this summer. Is it worth trading one of these destinations for Rijeka?

If you're going to be in Rovinj/p.u.l.a, you might as well stop by Rijeka on the way to your other destinations, even if only for a day. If you are going to trade, do not trade with plitvice lakes, dubrovnik, p.u.l.a or split!

When it comes to Italy, i think it's Lecce, lovely baroque architecture, good nightlife especially in summer just in between two seas with some of the best beaches in mainland Italy nearby, many cultural events and it's also by far the wealthiest Southern Italian city.
Perugia would probably be runner up, once again great architecture, good climate, great nightlife (it's probably the 2nd largest universitary city) and decent quality of life even though crime has been on the rise lately.
A few more I thought of in Latin America. Mazatlan, Mexico, and Puerto Montt, Chile, and Popayan, Colombia. Lots of the nice ones I've thought of have drifted up over 500K.
Hue, Vietnam, is pretty nice. And Pokhara, Nepal.
The first city I saw in China was Wuzhou, and I loved it, but nothing in China is now like it was them.
