Miami is relatively walkable by US standards. Actually has a solid urbanized downtown and surrounding areas

Here's my list of 20, but because I travevl positively and optimistically, I will list 15 likes and 5 dislikes, all of which Ive been to. In order of which they came to mind. I wont try to compare North American cities with the others. For all of them, my reasons are not empirically measurable, but just how I felt when I was there -- the likes, I bonded with or felt like I could, and my dislikes, I just wanted to get to the departure gate. If anyone has any questions about my choices, Ill try to answer.

Best 15:
Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan
Lagos, Nigeria
Begawan, Brunei
Hargeisa, Somalia
Asuncion, Paraguay
Tananarive, Madagascar
Odessa, Ukraine
Vina del Mar/Valparaiso, Chile
Darwin, Australia
Berlin, Germany
Medellin, Colombia
Khartoum, Sudan
Hanoi, Vietnam
Aleppo, Syria
Mendoza, Argentina

Worst 5:
Cairo, Egypt
Djibouti, Djibouti
Manila, Philippines
Taipei, Taiwan
Guatemala City

I hated Philly the first time I went. Everytime I returned, I liked it a bit more. Now it's among my Top 5 US cities (with Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Pittsburgh).

It looks like you pulled your top 10 (sans Charleston, WV and Tampa) from an edition of Travel & Leisure magazine and LOL at your bottom ten, (war torn, drug-infested, etc.). I agree with those!

Indifferent List: I have really a splt neutral opinion on these cities below. Of the hundreds of cities Ive been too, these cities just are middle of the road for me. Couldnt say I liked them, or disliked them.

I have yet to visit Berlin Germany, Hamburg Germany, Stuttgart Germany, Vienna Austria, Budapest Hungary, Warsaw Poland, Bordeaux France, Copenhagen Denmark and Oporto Portugal. I think when I get around to visit those cities my favorite list might change a lot... Hamburg and Berlin are the tops of my list at the moment.

*I did over 100,000 people.... if I included under 100,000 cities, I would have added Hoboken NJ, Jersey City NJ, Portland ME, Gloucester MA, Ptown MA and Vienyard Haven MA to the favorite lists*
