Okay, this is somewhat of a "your top 10 countries", but lets make it interesting. If you were going to be forever restricted to 10 countries which ones would they be?
They don't need to border each other or anything.
Mine are (not in any order)
1. Canada: My home country with plenty of open land and stunning wilderness
2. USA: The neignbouring country that shares a lot with Canada. Plenty of open space and things to see
3. Australia: Currently living here. Another great country with lots of open space (there's a pattern here)
4. U.K: Great historical sites, culture and nature
5. France: same as above
6. Italy: same as above
7. Japan: very unique with interesting sites, nature, pop culture
8. Brazil: Vast jungle with amazing beaches
9. Spain: The scenery
10. Sweden: I'm interested in Nordic culture
1. America
2. Australia
3. New Zealand
4. UK
5. Italy
6. Spain
7. Canada
8. France
9. Mexico (I do like the beaches)
10. China (ancestry and relatives there)
USA: Cheap electronics, great clothes, and diversity. While not the best country, it has a collection of world class cities like New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New Orleans, Miami, San Francisco, Chicago, Charleston, Savannah. Quite a bit of variety!
Brazil: Some of the best geographic diversity on Earth. From the igarapes of the Amazon, to the Sand dunes of Maranhao, to the beautiful natural bay of Rio de Janeiro. Anytime you want nature, you can just visit Brazil.
France: Gorgeous country with stunning world class architecture, a storied history, and an amazing culture. Anytime you want a taste of macaroons and good architecture, you can go to France.
Colombia: Another hyper-diverse country with endless nature and the tastiest coffee in the world. Warm, friendly people and the weirdly catchy cumbia and vallenato will make you want to stay the rest of your life
Peru: Friendly locals and one of the best cuisines on Earth makes it a must on any "Top 10" list. The seafood in Peru is truly out of the world and you really have not lived until you have tasted ceviche or jalea or aji de gallina. The nature is not too shabby either, between the gorgeous Amazon background, to the beautiful Andean valleys, to the sun-kissed beaches of the North. Also did I mention Machu Picchu? Because Machu Picchu!
Thailand: Gorgeous beaches and mountains. World class cuisine. A history that spans thousands of years and provided Thailand with some of the most stunning temples and architecture known to mankind? Sign me up! You can already imagine yourself on a southern Thai beach enjoying tom kha gai and a chilled Thai iced tea, all while having beautiful Buddhist temples in your view
South Korea: Amazing cuisine combined with a rich culture and limitless technological advancements. Not to mention all the amazing music coming out of South Korea the past few years. South Korea is the best Korea!
Japan: Beautiful zen gardens and thousand-year-old temples make Japan for a very interesting destination. As a little bonus, Japan has the longest life expectancy in the world, the lowest crime rates in the world, one of the highest development indexes, one of the best cuisines in the world, and some of the best electronics you can find anywhere
Italy: Great cuisine, great coffee, great weather, great architecture, great standard of living, great culture, great history, great nature, great...well...everything!
China: Some 10000 years of history and dozens of different regions make for quite a diverse country. Such a rich culture, where it seems like every single city is different from the next. For a such a densely populated country the nature is not to miss, from the beautiful deserts in the west, to the Himalayas, to the beautiful Sci-fiesque Zhangjiajie mountains. China, and with the other 9 countries on the list, should easily keep you occupied for an entire lifetime!
