So you went to another country, you talk to locals, they share their culture and you learn from their culture. It can either be good or bad.
What among the GOOD cultures from other countries you want to adapt?
As a resident of 3 countries, as a father and as a frequent traveler, I've learned a lot of cultures from the countries I've been to. Now I live in the US and kids are now in school. I have 4-6 parent role models as my guideline in raising my kids.
A Dutch Parent:
My role model when it comes to letting go of my parental anxiety. That the kids need to be taught basic life skills to protect themselves from common risks.
A Chinese/Japanese/Korean Parent:
My role model when teaching my kids how to respect elderly.
An Indian Parent:
My role model parents when it comes teaching my kids the value of education for them to stay competitive in the world of globalization.
An American Parent:
My role model parent when it comes to teaching my kids to be socially skilled and well rounded person.
I want to learn more from other cultures. How about you?
Quite a few things from different cultures that I'd like to incorporate.
American: Range of stores/goods, customer service, ketchup. When I get fries I expect some ketchup with it.
Japanese: the general efficiency and cleanliness
Swedish: One of the best healthcare systems in the world
German: the quality of products as well as assurance
South Korean: I believe it has the fastest internet in the world
French/Italian: The general appreciation of "la belle vie"
German and Japanese. They are both clever, industrious, highly oriented to technology and with a good sense of respect toward others. And also I'm getting more and more respect towards the polish people. Having suffered the pain of both nazism and communism, they are proud of their culture and traditions in a positive way, without the fear of getting criticised for being conservative.

I like elements of a lot of cultures. I actually think it's pretty easy to incorporate many of them into my own life.
Japanese culture - the civility
German culture - the exuberant love of the outdoors
British culture - the polite pleasantries as well as TEA AND BISCUITS
There are many other things I like about various cultures but these are the things that really struck me and that I decided to incorporate into my daily life and into the upbringing of my children.

I do like British arrogance
I also like the Africans toughness they show on the outside but very soft on the inside.
