Mind you, the article came out four years ago, so things may have changed. But is the GBR still pretty much a sitting duck against global warming? Or will it survive somehow? Because the article claims that it won't or can't. Please explain if it's doomed or just a natural phenomenon.

Yes!, The general consesus is that the reef is really in big trouble!, Global Warming is "Bleaching" the coral and causing it to die off, Which also affects the marine life that depnds on the coral.
Other concerns include - Toxic runoff!, Which affects coral by making the ocean more acidic and the possibly of a pathogenic infection, Being introduced into the area?
Really, All they're able to do is monitor things closely and try to lower the impact on the reef? (Fishing is already banned!)
Yes!, Things change!, But in the case of the reef..What is causing the change and is it too late?
