Time Shares (timeshare, vacation, area)

I was wondering do time shares exist outside of North America? I wanted to get one in Europe or that area of the world but can't seem to find any. No solicitations please. This is just a question about the subject.

RCI has timeshares outside of the US, but I don't know whether they originate outside of North America.

Timeshare certainly does exist but I know due to lots of timeshare scams lots were sold off or converted to full vacation places in the 90's!

There are timeshares all over the world, mostly independent of companies from the USA. You can look in the websites of the 2 major exchange companies to find them (click on the Resort Directory links):

Interval International- http://www.intervalworld.com

There is also a UK and Europe-based message board about timeshares where you can get good info from timeshare owners. http://www.timesharetalk.co.uk
