Defining & differentiating the words Audacity & Tenacity (quote, dictionary)

Immediately I wracked my brain for a more educated, tactful word to replace "ballsy."

Audacious.

Tenacious.

I think the word "audacious" would be better suited from this nice young lady.

I haven't consulted a dictionary yet because I get a small thrill out of exercising my brain with vocabulary words, so here's what my brain came up with. What do you think? I think we need to keep the richness of vocabulary alive so that words like "ballsy" don't eventually take over.

Audacity is having the nerve to do something outside of social norms, something that may even be impolite. Most of the time people who do impolite things don't realize they're being impolite. They're just being bold and impulsive.

Tenacity is having the nerve to do something unusual that requires courage, it might be dangerous or risky but if successful the rewards can be great.

Tenacity doesn't really have anything to do with risk or courage, reward or outcome.
It is simply the quality of being able to preserver, not let go.

The same thought came to my mind when reading about the two words. I've also noticed the slang word is often used even when describing a woman's actions, which has nothing to do with envy.
