I'm not sure how to describe this but it is really starting to drive me crazy.
You can't just borrow the semantic element "more" from an adjective that has appeared earlier in a sentence. For instance:
Ever cheaper and compliant labor
No! It should be "ever cheaper and more compliant labor." "Compliant" has no concept of degree built into it, the way "cheaper" does. For the sake of saying what you mean, and parallel construction, you need to add that more.
I don't remember noticing this mistake much ten or fifteen years ago, but it's become quite common online.
