Can anyone tell me if there are any residential neighborhoods near Jackson, fairly new homes, 2300+ sq ft with basement for $200-225k?

That figure you've mentioned might cover a modest downpayment on such housing in the area.

You'll have to go to Driggs to get those prices, but even at that, it will be an older home with about half the square footage. Idaho Falls might have homes that fit your criteria.

What would be the best public MLS search site for that general area of Jackson and surrounding areas?

Probably a google search for real estate in the area, and many of the sites will allow you to specify your parameters for the house (beds, bath, sq footage, etc). Available listings will show up and you can see the price points.

Doesn't hurt to contact some of the real estate agencies directly with your inquiries about the area and their listings.

You're kidding, right? You really need to do some research because you're going to be in for a big shock. Here is a hint, Jackson is one of the most expensive areas in the country. Maybe you can try San Francisco or New York City. I hear real estate is a bargain there as well.

There are homes for that price range in Jackson. They are hard to get and you need to live and work in Jackson. There is a waiting list/lottery system.
