For decades Wyoming was the least densely populated state. No more, Alaska is the least and Wyoming is second. Montana is third

I don't know where you came up with your figures. Maybe you were thinking Wyoming is the least densely populated of the lower 48 states, which it still is.

Directly from your link, "Alaska is the least densely populated state in the United States, with only 1.3 people per square mile. Wyoming is the second least densely populated state with six people per every square mile."

While I don't see it in the linked story, Alaska had the least population of any state for years, and Wyoming was second, but a few decades ago Alaska overtook Wyoming for total population.

I lived in Alaska before moving to Wyoming nearly 50 years ago. I know these things.

Pretty sure Kanye's 'entourage' will inevitably tip the scales a bit, especially once the wife finally get's everything decorated 'just-so' ?

Would NOT be a bit surprised if '44' (and family) eventually fly-in for a visit...along with anyone else with-whom the West's have rubbed-shoulders with, over the past few decades that they've made names for themselves, in their respective-careers.

I said least densely populated and that's what the story said too.
Wyoming population in 2015 was est 586,107

Vermont is second - est 626,042
Alaska is next - est 738,432
North Dakota - est 756,927
South Dakota - est 858,469

Wyoming hasn't been the least densely populated state since Alaska was annexed in 1959. Maybe I'm reading something into your post that's wrong. I'm not looking for an argument, but HUH? Density means how many people there are per square mile, right?

I'm confused. Maybe it's my aging brain, what's left of it. I'm out.
