Article from the Charlotte Observer. There's a 15 minute video clip of his field sobriety tests at the bottom of the article. The man sounds genuinely sorry, but an elected official ought to know better than make a bad decision like driving while impaired and putting other peoples lives in danger IMO

So he apologizes ... you think perhaps he was just sorry he got caught?

Maybe he can plead down his DUI charge like Lindemann did.

It's a shame and I think he should step down. He could have killed someone.

I agree, I have no use for anyone that drinks and drives. Stay home or if you go out take a taxi or call a relative/friend to come get you. When they get behind the wheel of a vehicle they are a potential killing machine.
