Hi I am looking for a good vantage point for watching the sunset near Rock Hill.

Preferably a place on higher ground and/or with a wide open horizon.

Any ideas?!?!

Sounds kinda funny but try the new Academy Sports store off Dave Lyle. It's way up on a hill and has a clear view back to the west.

That's a good idea! I figured I'd get some smart aleck replies telling me to "Go outside" lol.

But I need a nice open spot to take some photos. Even most of the fields around here have trees not too far off in the distance that can block a good view.

As long as they don't get suspicious of someone with a camera on a tripod parked by the airport.. you never know in this day and age!

Windjammer Park in Tega Cay is a great place to see the sunset. You have a wide open space with the lake and all.

Will they hassle people that aren't residents?

No, if you're just going up there to see the view and not cause any throuble. We go up there and don't live there but in Fort Mill and never had a problem at all.
